Abstract

This research focuses on the analysis of teaching resources used as part of the teaching methodology received by students in information organization courses. The research was carried out within the educational framework of the three public universities in Costa Rica that currently offer this degree program: the University of Costa Rica, the National University, and the State Distance University. This study is mixed in nature. A questionnaire consisting of fifteen questions was developed, ten of which are closed-ended and five open-ended, on the Google Forms platform. The purpose of the questionnaire is to collect information on the following variables: teaching resources used, quality and relevance, methodological resources, and evaluation and perception of effectiveness. The sample consisted of academics working at public universities who are responsible for teaching information organization courses. The results obtained allowed us to identify various pedagogical strategies applied in teaching RDA, highlighting the use of case studies, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and collaborative learning. The main conclusion reveals the importance of incorporating various teaching materials and active methodologies into the training process, which are fundamental elements for ensuring effective student training.
