Abstract

This contribution aims to bring readers of a conversation between Remedios Melero, one of the main advocates for open access in Spain and Latin America, and members of the research project "Open access to scientific knowledge in Argentina. State of the art and main trends" (H540). The talk was on the progress made on the open access movement in Ibero-America, their similarities and differences with Spain, the influence of the laws designed to establish a suitable framework for their development, the prospect of so-called green and gold routes is reviewed - repositories and open access journals, and the main courses of research on the topic.
